The Platform is a Non-Profit initiative of Covenant Christian Centre which is geared primarily to improving the individuals of Nigeria and the world. The Platform is designed to facilitate growth in the areas of personal capacity & productivity as well as to foster National Development within our Great Nation, Nigeria.


Ms. Ekiyor is the first Executive Director/CEO of The TY Danjuma Foundation, an independent private perpetual foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life of Nigerians. Prior to her current position, she was The Executive Director of the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) in Accra, Ghana. She has also served as:

» Senior Manager for Conflict Intervention and Peace building Support at the Centre for Conflict Resolution (University of Cape Town), South Africa.

» The Director of Programmes for the West Africa Network for Peace building (WANEP) in West Africa. At WANEP, she founded the Women in Peace building Network (WIPNET), serving as its first Regional Coordinator.

» An International Board Member to ISIS WICCE in Uganda, and the Global Centre on Responsibility to Protect in New York.

» The founder and the Executive Director of Connect Synergy, a private consultancy firm working on peace and security issues in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.

» A resource person/expert to the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue in Geneva, the United Nations (UNIFEM, UNDESA, ECA, OSAGI and UNITAR), the Africa Union, and Regional Economic Communities (specifically ECOWAS, SADC, IGAD and ECCAS).

» Co-Founder of the Women Peace and Security Network Africa (WIPSEN-Africa).

» An author and has written and co-authored books on security and peace building in Africa and the roles of women in peace and security.

She has developed indigenous training tools on peacebuilding in Africa and She has designed a gender-sensitive methodology for training women peacebuilding practitioners in Africa. Ms. Ekiyor currently serves as Editor of HerStories, a journal that chronicles women's experiences in peace and conflict.

Ms. Thelma Ekiyor is a Nigerian from Delta State with a Law Degree from University of Buckingham and a Fellowship, Stanford University, USA. She holds an LLB Honours in International Law, and Graduate Studies in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
